Rainy Day

Posted on 05/12/202505/12/2025 by admin

Grey against the white
Streaked, solemn, satin waves.
Rolling across the sky
Beckoning a rainy day.

Droplets drip dripping
Spit, spit, spitting,

A pattern repeating. Beat beating, beat,
Hammering drops with tapdancing feet,
Lancing the clouds, tumbling down
Faster than fast, flooding the town
Potential torrential abrupt elemental
Lashing, loosing, drowning, abusing.
Primal in its thunderous fear.
Covering the ground in lakes of tears

Before moving on
As quickly as it came,
Leaving heartache
In its watery shame.
