Pencil

Posted on 06/03/202506/03/2025 by admin

Pencil point punctuated precisely
Jabbed into the air, every syllable spoken
Swished, stammered, sputtered sprightly
An answer, answered. A gestured token.
The teacher nods, introspective thoughts,
Musing on the fencing flourish
The student seeking, the knowledge sought
The pencil, an extension of his courage.
With mighty cry, a quip well aimed
The lead projectile aiming high
A sentence of a bard unduly famed
His demise with graphite from the sky.
So ends the tale of an over excited poet
He momentarily wished he “didn’t know it”
