Night walking

Posted on 07/31/202507/31/2025 by admin

Walking at night to clear the mind debris
the orange luminescent glow of lamps
overhead, electricity humming
fending off the darkness with pools of light
spilling over the greying tarmac path.
Night’s silence interrupted by nature,
the foxes’ serrated screams, the owls hoots
haunting from trees clothed in inky shadow.
Not frightening, happily welcoming
no longer I travel in solitude
but have the company of nature
Guiding me and keeping me safe from harm.
