Dead Inside

Posted on 07/05/202507/05/2025 by admin

My soul simmering in the mirror
Reflecting back ragged
Slash, cut, cleave and damage.
Perceived, deceived a subtle illusion
Bathed in a scintillating confusion.
An image borne of diaphoretic dread,
relentless poisons, sanity’s shred
Inequity fills me to the brim
Take it on the chin, sink or swim.
I’m nothing but the image inside
The one that society told me to hide
In ascendancy depression takes the throne
Making this person their rightful home.
