Breaking

Posted on 05/22/2025 by admin

Bend like willow, springing back,
Supple to the worldly weight,
Heaped on shoulders to bare.
Bare you must, it is the way,
Taking all that’s thrown at you.
Absorbing troubles, grappling anxieties,
Piling on more worldly weight,
Bending double but carrying on.
Creaking, cracking, caught in a cycle.
No longer bending but set to break.
