Devoid

Posted on 07/31/202507/31/2025 by admin

I wept but you were still dead
marks of a thousand needles
dotting your arm
it fell ashen to the floor.
Eyes staring, vacant
no legacy remained of you,
you were gone.
Just a tomb of human flesh
devoid of self, devoid of life
just void, just nothing.
More street detritus to be swept away,
away from the uncaring world
away from me.
