Painting the sky in cobalt hues
dipping the brush, regaling the day.
Sumptuous in those beautiful blues
without any hint of sighing dismay.
Lying down, staring upward under oak
Gazing pass the trees verdant leaves
No clouds dotting their ephemeral smoke
To ruin the firmament’s angelic creed.
Heaven in every sense of the word
Laying here, losing myself in the skies
The stilling of all life problems absurd
A halcyon moment to negate all cries.
Each second paused in sweet affection
Was worth the hours of silent reflection.
