Little brown parcel 2

Posted on 05/22/2025 by admin

I wonder what is inside
Wrapped in paper brown.
A secret that seeks to hide
Something to dispel this frown.

Could it be a trinket gold
resplendent in an oaken box.
Glinting in the sunlight bold
As I open the iron locks.

Maybe its something heaven sent
An angelic form for you to see.
A lyre that plays songs of reverence
When asked most reverently.

It could be some sort of devilry
Perhaps all the evils in the world.
Which when opened shamelessly
Will make humanity culled.

It might be a relic or treasure
Lost from a sunken wreck.
Something which price out measures
Bound in a curse that mentions death.

Though guessing is the best part
Especially without a clue
The finally unwrapping has to start
To see the gift from you.
