Last bus went 30 minutes ago.
Now I’m just here alone, waiting
to shelter late night revelers from the weather.
The lashing rain battering my windows
dripping cold waters onto the metal mesh seat.
Mixing with stale urine,
Lagered vomit and detritus swimming.
A cold wind blows, whistling though
discordant in its berating tune,
sardonic sounds to pipe the night away.
